Anne Sheedy studied the flute with Severino Gazzelloni in Rome, Julius Baker, Harold Bennett and Samuel Baron in New York and Tom Nyfenger and Keith Underwood at Yale. She has soloed with the San Francisco Symphony, performed on tour with the Yale Woodwind Quintet and was presented in live and televised recitals through the auspices of the Concert Artists Guild in NYC and Los Angeles. She has taught at NYU and at Goddard College in Vermont as Artist-in-Residence. Anne performed as a member of the American Federation of Musicians with the Oakland Symphony, the SF Ballet Orchestra, the National Orchestral Association at Carnegie Hall and on Broadway for many years. She was principal flute of the Great Plains Music Society in Lincoln, and is currently guest artist with Camerata di Colombaia in Tuscany, soloist with the NY Bach Chamber Soloists, and is a member of the Great Plains Chamber Winds and Lincoln Musicians Association. As a touring artist she is listed with the Nebraska Arts Council and Mid-America Arts Alliance.
